On 14th April, an official document-signing ceremony took place between iEARN Taiwan and Wenzao Ursuline College of Languages for the cooperative project of National Security Language Initiative-Youth 2011-12. The project was formally initiated thereafter. (NSLI-Y)National Security Language Initiative-Youth is a program of iEARN-US, commissioned by Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State. iEARN-US commits iEARN Taiwan as the partner for the project of NSLI-Y 2011-2012. Based on the commitment, iEARN-Taiwan has the obligation to make arrangements for 5 American High school students, who will come to Taiwan to learn Chinese, join culture exchange activities and perform community service from August, 2011 to June,2012. The document-signing ceremony, with the presence of Mr. Chris Castro, the branch chief of AIT Kaohsiung branch office and Ms. Judy Chang, the cultural specialist of AIT/Kaohsiung, symbolized the close cooperation between iEARN-Taiwan and Wenzao Ursuline College of Languages for the common interest to improve the culture exchange between Taiwan and United States.
